Legal things: Winfordreams is a fundraising platform. It uses the power of storytelling and new technologies to achieve the change in charitable giving. We allow almost anybody (look at the restrictions below) to enter the competition and have an equal chance of winning. It is a brand new way to promote non-profit fundraising organizations. It is completely legal as you will be able to see in the paragraphs below.
We follow the laws and policies that ensure our donors are protected and that everything is fair to all parties involved. Important: You can enter any campaign for free, although it is appreciated to show some love to the charity offering the prize, after all, it is for a good cause. We listed the rules below and they apply to every sweepstakes campaign we run.
Sometimes we have extra requirements, but they will always be listed on our campaign page, so you will not miss anything.
Rules and policies:
When you donate to a good cause, we include you in the drawing, it is our way of saying thank you. Campaigns may include the perks that are guaranteed in addition to prizes that are given by a random drawing.
There is no purchase needed to enter any of our sweepstakes. The only exception is the cases, that would be restricted and prohibited by law.
All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
How it works
We see the campaigns as teamwork, where everyone participates.
We work with Karitas, a tax-exempt public charity, which receives all donations made through Winfordreams online platform and make grants for amazing charitable causes ( we call them a ‘Designated Grantee’).
There is more information about donations and Karitas’s grantmaking process in section 3. In partnership with Karitas, we bring together Designated Grantees and brands, companies, talents, and celebrities who are our Prize providers.
They allow the use of their logo and name on our Platform. Almost anybody (see restrictions below) can win a prize.
It is completely free for you to enter our sweepstakes, but if you donate, we give you an entrance as a way to say thank you.
We may also offer you certain exclusive perks and incentives that are not a part of the sweepstakes but are based on donations. How to enter our Sweepstakes There are two different ways to enter our sweepstakes:
1. Enter by making a donation: Visit winfordreams.com, choose the fundraising campaign that you feel most drawn to and make a donation for a good cause by completing the registration form.
2. Enter for free Go to winfordreams.com and scroll down the page until you find the ‘Enter without contributing’ section. Click on it and fill out the form. Entry weighing We care deeply about the equality of all our members, that is why we use a system that allows us to treat all entries equally. Each free entry is automatically assigned 2,000 entries – equivalent to the donation entry you get if you donate 100$. The maximum number of entries, regardless of how you enter (either free or by donation) for campaigns that start between December 10, 2020, and April 20, 2021, is 25,000 entries per one person per campaign. For campaigns that start after April 20, 2021, the maximum number of entries for any person is reduced to 6,000 entries per person per campaign.
Who can enter a campaign?
Some countries do not allow sweepstakes, and even though we are open to anyone, we are required to restrict entries from those countries. Most of our campaigns are open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia and most countries across the globe. Our campaigns are not open in countries on the USA list of embargoed countries, as well as countries that do not allow entry into sweepstakes by law. If we need to limit certain campaigns to specific countries, we publish that in special rules on the campaign page. We do not allow entries to full-time or part-time employees of Winfordreams, Karitas, any other Charity or Prize provider for the applicable campaign. Also, the members of their household and immediate family (parents, spouses, partners, siblings, and children) are not eligible to enter our campaigns.
We also don’t allow bots or any third party software that has the purpose of automatically entering the sweepstakes and has an advantage over people who enter manually. They will be disqualified from the sweepstake they entered and all future sweepstakes we provide for our members. Occasionally we may set limitations on how often someone can be eligible to win a Major or Minor Prize within a specific period. Major Prize is the Grand Prize of particular sweepstakes.
A Minor prize is:
a) any prize other than the Grand Prize
b) any prize that is awarded in a ‘marketing activation sweepstakes’ which is defined as sweepstakes where the entry method is an entry into separate sweepstakes (for example, if you enter any Winfordreams sweepstakes in a specific week, you are also entered for a chance to win $200);
c) any prize that is awarded any prize that is awarded in a ‘supplemental sweepstakes’ which is defined as a sweepstake where the entry method is an entry into a separate sweepstakes (for example, if you enter for a chance to win a grand prize on a specific week, you are also entered for a chance to win a gift card).
Our members may not be able to receive more than one Major Prize within the same 18 month period. This limitation applies across all Winfordreams sweepstakes. Individuals might not receive more than one Minor Prize within a specific sweepstakes. For any sweepstakes, we define Major/Minor Prize differently or revise any prize limitation. Sometimes it is the case that the country you live in will allow you to enter the sweepstakes but will not allow you to collect the prize. It is your responsibility to learn about any restrictions your country has, before claiming the prize or making a donation. In all cases, campaigns are void, where prohibited by law. When can I enter a campaign? The start and end of each campaign are listed on a campaign page. We usually start our campaigns at 12:00:01 A.M. Pacific Time (“PT”) and end at 11:59:59 P.M. PT on the days specified unless it is otherwise specified. We call this the ‘Campaign Window’. What are the conditions or restrictions on a prize? Some of our Prizes have extra restrictions or conditions. These are posted in the specific rules for a certain campaign. For all travel Prizes, the winner must travel on the dates and schedule specified by Winfordreams.
All airfare is coach class, hotel accommodations are standard class unless it is specified differently. For international travel, you are required to obtain all necessary documentation (visa, travel authorizations, or other documentation). All additional expenses are the responsibility of a winner. Travel restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. The Prize value may vary depending on point of departure, travel dates, and fare/rate fluctuations. We are not responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitutions, or any act or deletion of any third person concerning the trip. We are not responsible for stolen or lost tickets, travel vouchers or certificates, or similar items once they are in your possession. They will not be replaced. Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary. If you or your guest are, in our opinion or the opinion of our partners, threatening, abusive, or harassing before or during the trip or Prize, Winfordreams and its partners reserve the right to deny or terminate the trip or Prize, in whole or in part, and move on to the next randomly drawn winner if the Prize has not yet been delivered. Any meetings with celebrities will require a background and security check. Your guest must be of legal age in his/her jurisdiction of residence, or your child or legal ward unless it is otherwise approved by us. If you live within a 100km radius of the site where the Prize is to be performed, we may provide you ground transportation or pay a fee for your transportation. Additionally, any and all expenses not specified in the section titled “Stuff our Lawyers Want You to Read”, including, but not limited to, checked baggage fees, meals, and gratuities, are the responsibility of the winner and the winner’s guest(s). Our Prizes can’t be substituted or transferred unless if it is specified in the special campaign rules. If the portion of the Prize is not used it may not be substituted, transferred, or redeemed for money. We also encourage our winners to pay taxes, they are your responsibility. All winners that receive a Prize with an approximate retail value of 600$ or more will be issued a Form 1099. Winner promotion
